Numerous scientific and industrial projects today are developed within a geographically distributed network or within thematic communities on a European or worldwide scale. Project management is often less hierarchical, based on a collaborative approach between partners. In the context of industry the coordinator is made much more complex and requires new approaches where the notion of group or groupware is at the center of the process.
