Artenum is a company specialized in Science and Groupware. Our skills are based on our expertise in strategic fields, like scientific computing and teamwork, and our OpenSource experience. Founded in 2001, Artenum is an independent private SME. Artenum headquarters are settled into Paris Cyber Village, the business technopole of our town, Paris.

Artenum crew is proficient in mathematical modeling, physics, 3D visualization, collaborative community animation. Artenum masters Java/J2EE, Python/Jython and VTK technologies for both scientific and collaborative applications. Most of our products are OpenSource and compatible with usual operating systems.

Some of our partners or clients are CEA, CNES, EDF, ESA, INRIA, ObjectWeb, Observatoire Paris Meudon, ONERA, Universities Paris 6, Paris 7, and Paris Sud. Positioned at the research / industry interface, Artenum brings the most innovative OpenSource technologies to both sectors.

May, 21th 2008: Mature, the collaborative forge LibreSource now released under GPL

The LibreSource consortium, composed of Artenum, INRIA and Paris VII university, announced today the release of LibreSource 2.5, a significant update of its collaborative forge software. LibreSource is now available under the Open Source license GNU GPL V2 and reinforces its assets in collaborative work and software development. LibreSource has reached a maturity allowing to deploy it in industrial contexts, for communities of several thousands of users.

May, 15th 2007: LibreSource 2.2, the other forge

LibreSource is a versatile collaborative platform. Based on Java/J2EE technology, LibreSource is an open source modular web server that users can customize online by combining resources and rights: wiki pages, forum, trackers, SCMs, files, download areas, dropbox, forms, etc. To support informal communication, LibreSource 2.2 embeds a Jabber instant messaging device. To enhance formal comunication, LibreSource 2.2 features form resources. LibreSource 2.2 has a better packaging: in a few clicks, you can go in production.
